Last fall we got to take on an incredibly cool project, creating aprons for the release of the Game of Thrones and Johnnie Walker Whiskey collaboration, White Walker Whiskey!
These aprons were an intense and creative project. The design request was for a snow-effect print across the entire bottom half of the apron. This print would be larger than than any typical professional screen printing setup so we had to get creative.
We found a solution with The Hive Printing here in Vancouver, who had an extra large poster printing machine that was just big enough to fit an apron. After a few trial runs, we got the precise print dialed in, and I think they turned out pretty fantastic.
We also took on the embroidery for these aprons, which were emblazoned with an extra large Game Of Thrones & Johnnie Walker crest. Each of these logos took almost 30 minutes per piece on the embroidery machine!
This project is a great example of a branding collaboration between Search & Rescue Denim CO and a marketing agency, in this case the amazing folks over at Circle Squarein London. We love taking the design aesthetic requests of our clients and creating an apron the represents their vision and branding.
This was definitely one of the coolest projects we’ve done to date and we can't wait to see the bartenders in Europe wearing the aprons at all the White Walker Whiskey release parties!
