When you spend every day with over 100 teenagers, teaching them skills like drawing, painting, ceramics, and printmaking, you need a way to stay clean! For Visual Art teacher Stephen Strutynski an S&R Apron is his unofficial uniform.
Stephen has been teaching art for almost 20 years, and teaching high school on south Vancouver Island since 2010. He says he’s “been through many aprons over my career, but my S&R apron has been the most expensive but worth every dollar.”
We aim to make our aprons super durable, so it’s great to hear that Stephen’s apron stands up to art supplies day after day! Stephen says, “My apron serves as my life-force, keeping the essentials on my person and organised. Working in a very energetic studio with a great deal of mess and spills with no mom to clean up after them, my apron saves my clothes from looking like my classroom's counter tops, floors, tables, walls, etc.”
Thanks for all you do as a teacher, Stephen! And thanks for being part of our Apron Family.
