Different than expected, but not a bad thing

I am a first time customer of SR, so the concept of full customization of the apron design was exciting. I bought 3 split leg aprons, each with different material. I do wish that there were more close up pictures of the materials and components, which would be very helpful when deciding what to go with. For example, this is described as denim. I have several denim aprons from other brands and they do vary when it comes to thickness and how soft they are. The SR denim is much thinner and appears to have a wax coating to it. It reminds me more of some waxed canvas bags I have. I don’t remember if I chose the backing, but next time I may pick one to give it a thicker and heavier feel. None of this is a bad thing whatsoever. I imagine that the waxed coating (if that is what it is) will created more durability and less wear - and the thinner material will probably feel nice when working a daytime event in the sun. My business is in mixology, so the coating will probably help prevent stains from splashing that are bound to happen. The color is also darker than I expected, but this is also not a bad thing. For this apron, I opted for the neck strap instead of the X back and found that the X back is so much more comfortable. Having the single leather strap go around my neck doesn’t pull down on me or anything like that, but it is something I noticed and felt from time to time as I was moving about throughout a gig. It also didn’t want to sit comfortably on my collared shirt for some reason. I will be buying more aprons this month, but will make the changes to fit my preferences better.
